Week Night Evening Routine

I thrive off of routines. It takes a lot of stress and procrastination away from me when I have a plan and stick to it. I have been working on creating an evening routine especially on week nights because I have been finding myself staying up way too late trying to get things done because I spent more time doing pointless things (as I exit out of my YouTube tab). I am sure we all have this problem.

I started to write a morning routine. But to be perfectly honest, I don’t have one. On the days I have to go to work, I get out of bed at the very last minute. Run through the house like a Tasmanian devil. Typically, with an attitude mad at myself thinking “why didn’t I wake up in enough time so I didn’t have to rush? ” I am a work in progress when it comes to mornings. That said, I make sure I have everything done and ready the night before. In the morning all I have to do is get myself together and get out the door. I even put cream in my coffee cup so I don’t even have to measure the amount.

Here is my evening routine:

4pm – Gym

5pm – Once home, hop in the shower

6pm – Eat Dinner and relax and watch TV

7pm – Work on the blog

9pm- Get read for bed and prepare for the next day.  After that I read before bed

10pm/10:30- Pray and go to bed

I consider myself to be a fitness enthusiast. Lately, I have been going to the gym and working out more consistently that I have in a couple of years. I’ve made some small changes that have made such a big difference in working out regularly.

  1. Go to a gym near you. Weather you go to a gym that is close to your job or right up the street from your house you will be more motivated to go when you see in the gym on a regular basis. In the past, I was a member of a gym that was about 20 minutes from my house and was not on my typical route home. I would find myself making up every excuse as to why I can’t make the gym that day.
  2. Always keep workout clothes in your car. There has been many times when I was out running errands and had a little time where I could run and have a quick workout.
  3. Create a schedule. Making a schedule is a great way I hold myself accountable. For example I never have plans on Wednesdays, and I know not to make plans because I go to the gym right after work.
  4. Walk. If you feel like you don’t have time take a walk.
  5. Love you workout clothes. Every so often I like to update my workout clothes if you have great workout clothes and don’t use them, they will be wasted.

Relaxed and Casual

Last week, I think I spent every day in bed. Apparently, there has been some sort of cold going around and I caught it. How fun! I’m feeling much better now, but in honor of my departing cold I wanted to share with you all an amazing outfit you could wear lounging around the house or even if you’re sick.

On days like this, I like to keep my look pretty simple. Black pants and a t-shirt, basically anything that is comfortable to wear under a robe. It makes such a difference when you find items that don’t restrict you. My brother actually purchased these pants for me for Christmas. I love them!

Lately, I have been so into slippers. I think I have to agree with all the other bloggers out there when they say, these Ugg slippers are so comfortable to wear around the house. I love them and I can say they are so worth it. If you have the money to splurge on these slippers, I strongly recommend them.

Fall Fun List

Weekend Recap

Hi Fashionistas!

First let me say sorry there was no post yesterday. I have been doing the most. Which means I have not been planning my time as well as I should be. To keep it really real, I have been watching Power in my spare time and I’ve been sucked in! No excuse, but I’m here now!

This weekend I had a blast! I went to a friend’s wedding and after a few of us went to the Baltimore Harbor and  hung out. Summer 2017 Reading List

Hi Friends,

Happy official first day of summer! Hopefully that means life is going to slow down enough for you to stop and smell the roses or at least read a good book 🙂 I have been getting back in to reading lately and I have been loving it. A fashion blogger I follow always gives the best book reviews and each time she provides amazing books that I always love. I enjoy thrillers… one of my favorite books is Gone Girl, and I have a few book reviews I plan do in the near future.
