Breaking out the Boots

I can’t believe October is almost over. It’s sad to see the summer go but now it’s time for boots, sweaters, and tights. Over the past couple of weekends, I started switching my wardrobe for the colder season. I felt it was necessary because I made a purchase and realized I had duplicates.

October is the month I officially start wearing boots. A few years ago, I found myself struggling to find a good balance of when to wear boots and cooler weather attire. I felt I was rushing the season when I tried to wear these items in September, plus it was still way too hot.  November, I would freeze trying to find different ways to make my sundresses work in the colder months. I decided enough was enough, October is a great month to make it happen and it seemed to work. Today it’s going to be 80 degrees, but I am wearing a short sleeve sweater and cropped pants.

This year I tried something a little different, and it seemed to work great. I pulled out my fall items and stored them on clothing racks so I can see what I have and what I need. I found I had no idea what I stored and found myself buying things I already had. I just got in an order from J.Crew and saw I ordered some of their tissue turtlenecks in colors I already had, and now have to go through the whole return process which could have been avoided.

Do you have a certain time you start wearing certain articles of clothing?

Fall Fun List

Hi Friends,

Now that is is September, I think it is only fitting that we start talking about what fun things we want to do this fall. Fall is my favorite season for activities. I always plan big things but rarely get around to the things I am excited to do. This is going to be my year, I plan to do at least two of the items on my list.

ou're invited to an

What are you most excited to do this autumn season? Let me know, I would love to add to my list 🙂

Casual Wear

This is by far one of my favorites outfits I have worn in some time. I love how comfortable it is! On the weekends I spend much of my time running errands and getting stuff done! One of my favorite trends right now is the athleisure trend. I love it. I am a huge sweatpants and hoodie girl. I played sports all throughout high school and I love to be comfortable. Sneakers… give me life! I believe I may have mentioned before, I have been having foot problems and since I have been wearing sneakers more, my foot have gotten 90% better!

Letter to Summer…

Dear Summer,

I will miss you. You know the relationship we have is like no other. I love how we can spend early mornings together, the many walks taken just looking at all the beauty surrounding us. My heart will shatter as you read on, but I have to say goodbye.

I will not say goodbye forever, but just know I can not wait to see you again. You will remain my only reason I will attend BBQ and jump in pools, risking my hairstyle. Our love and bonding has always seen us through all the good and times. I can not express how hard it is to say goodbye.

I am sorry to say, I have to move on to another season, Fall. I hope you will be able to forgive me at some point, but Fall is providing me with amazing fashions and cooler weather. Not to forget apple cider, harvest festivals, and pumpkin spice. It is extremely bittersweet for me, but I can’t stop it.

Until next time summer… Goodbye.
