Happy Tuesday! I think this week is going to be dedicated to parties to the holidays coming up THIS WEEK! Can you tell I am excited? Well I am 🙂 I love this skirt, I found it at TJ Maxx (a friend actually bought it for me) and I couldn’t wait to style it. This outfit would be great if you are going out to an evening party. I have learned the hard way that I need to wear a coat when I am going out in the evening. Once upon a time I was that girl running to a party trying to be cute and not wearing a coat to only wake up in the morning with my body aching from the cold. I have grown past that and decided to leave that in my 20s.

Casual Wear

This is by far one of my favorites outfits I have worn in some time. I love how comfortable it is! On the weekends I spend much of my time running errands and getting stuff done! One of my favorite trends right now is the athleisure trend. I love it. I am a huge sweatpants and hoodie girl. I played sports all throughout high school and I love to be comfortable. Sneakers… give me life! I believe I may have mentioned before, I have been having foot problems and since I have been wearing sneakers more, my foot have gotten 90% better!

We spent countless Wedding Wednesdays together planning my wedding. I shared so many details with you all, so why not the finishing touch?

Here is it, I hope you all enjoy it. 🙂

Product Review: Deva Curl

At my last hair appointment my hair dresser informed me that I need to stop using cheap hair products. Yes I admit I use whatever I can find on sale to take care of all this hair. I promise I have a good reason! Well I have a lot of hair, and I got through products quick. I would tell myself it is okay as long as I am not using heat on my hair. Well according to my hair dresser I need to use better products so I am starting with the Deva Curl line.

Deva Curl is a brand that emphasizes the curly girl lifestyle. According to the brand those ladies with curly hair have a story to tell and Deva Curl wants to know about it. Their products will help women with curly hair celebrate their curls in a healthy way.

I purchased the no-poo shampoo and the one condition. The no-poo shampoo is a shampoo marketed to cleanse hair without using harsh chemicals. These chemicals will hair avoid dryness and frizz, leaving you with healthy beautiful curls. The one condition is the mate to the no poo, that gives hair the most amount of hydration.

I am just going to jump in and tell you all this product is amazing. On my first use the no poo made my hair feel clean but not striped of all the moisture I am trying to hold on to. When it was time to use the conditioner, I became a believer.  I was able to detangle my hair with out clogging my tub, that alone is an amazing benefit! Running a comb through my hair and it being completely detangled, is the best feeling ever!

After washing and styling my hair, I have noticed less frizz and more moisture. Which is everything I have been looking for in a shampoo and conditioner.

Over all I recommend this product, and I think I even want to make a visit to one of the salon they have.

Hair Envy

I know I can not be the only person who get lost on Pinterest for hours. A few days ago I came across these lovely ladies and their gorgeous hair. Which got me thinking about hair envy, and what I think of it. In all actually I have I hair envy with all of these ladies, some because of the length, some because of the curl and some just because of the style. It is okay to like how other people style their hair without wishing and praying it was your hair.

As for me I have big, crazy, wild hair and I don’t think I would trade for anything only, because it is mine. When I was younger I wised my her like like every other black girl I saw on TV. Until I got older and started to appreciate my hair for what it is.

I think as we get older we start to realize, there is nothing I can do about it so lets make the most of it. This can be applied to almost anything. We should all me content with what the Lord given us. Although, there is nothing with with appreciating what the Lord gave to other people as well.
