Happy Valentine’s Day Friends!!!! I would be remised if I didn’t tell you all to have an amazing day! I pray you all have a chance to spend today with a loved one!
I enjoy planning pretty much everything! I have to say that this year I failed! I planned all these ideas about what I can do for Blogmas this year and imagined how amazing it was going to be. Lack of time kept me from sharing these ideas with you which was a disappointed for me. As time slipped away and I was missing out.
What I found is I wasn’t planning the time it takes to execute those ideas. I call myself a planner procrastinator. I spend so much time planning things out, but then it leaves no time to actually do what I planned. Then, I begin planning on how to catch myself up so I am not behind. I also find that if you over plan you end up confused or overwhelmed, again causing the plan to fail.
The best advice is to keep things simple. First, before I add a bunch of fun things to the mix, I have to have the basics down. If I don’t know what I am going to be posting about (or have my post ready) for the month or week, that means I don’t have time to add fluff.
Scheduling is a necessity for me. On certain days I do certain things. Having that guideline about what I need to do keeps me on track. It also means I don’t spend hours planning what I need to do before actually doing it because I know what needs to be done.
I would love to hear from you all to see if you have the same issues with planning, or should I say, over planning, as I do.

I wanted to start a series here highlighting various stores to share with you what I and planning on purchasing. I am starting here with Old Navy, because I am actually planning gone making a purchase soon with many of these items. What are you thinking about purchasing for the fall?
Now if this outfit doesn’t scream summer to you I don’t know what will? I love love love this shirt. I almost paid full price for it because I loved the way it felt. Luckily, it was on discount when I got to the register. These pants are really old from Banana Republic Factory. Honestly, your clothes hold up so much better when you invest in them. I think I am on year three with these pants. It helps that I only wear them a few times each year, but they have held up very very well, through stains and parties. The shoes, I don’t even know where they are from because they are so old.
So I am frugal, and I never buy things full price. That said, when I buy something full price I have to love it, ALOT. So I bought this dress full price from Banana Republic at that. I have been a fan of Banana for years. I love how their clothes fit me. Their dresses are the perfect length. I don’t wear a lot of heels so having my dresses hit right at my knees is exactly what I look for.
What called out to me about this dress is that it is essentially a basic dress, with a splash of fun. Oh and that is exactly how it wears. It is so comfortable, the fabric amazing!
A major trend right now is bold sleeves, everywhere you look there is a large puff sleeve, or flutter sleeve, or even a large ruffle on the shoulder. Oh wait, even off the shoulder shirts (I forgot about that). Nonetheless, sleeves are in. Okay, I am being honest, I am not super into the trend 100%. I like it but not to sure how it fits with my style. I guess I am just different.
Here is a tip- If you are not sure about a trend, try it in a modest way. That is what I did here. The sleeves are not crazy overwhelming but they are still on trend. This will actually be super cute with a pair of shorts as well.
In honor of an amazing weekend I wanted to share with you all this fun and bright outfit. I have had all these pieces for quite some time now. I have loved this shirt and it is perfect for a nice spring day with a little chill in the air.
Good Morning Love Bugs,
Today is my five year dating anniversary with my husband Frank! It is so crazy when I saw that it was five years today, I was shocked that it has been that long, three years sounds more accurate. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun. I can’t believe this summer we would have been married for two year. Goodness!
In honor of our anniversary, I will give you all a fun fact about us. We actually, met on the very first day of undergrad. At our school on move in day, they have a Freshman Welcome Party… there is where we met.
I hope you all have a great day today 🙂
So sorry for the lack of post last week, I was under the weather for majority of the week. Which is how this look came about. I spent much of the weekend of the couch in these sweats. My little brother actually gave me these as a Christmas Gift. I wanted to go down a size and was on the hunt to exchange them. Turns out they are discontinued so I decided to keep them and I am glad I did. They are so comfortable and warm.
Just like every other person on earth, I decided to get fit for one of my New Year Resolutions. Lately, I have been having such a great time working out. I am one of those people who enjoy working out, the endorphins you feel after that last weight and the since of accomplishment you get when you run for 30 minutes non-stop. It is the best!!!
Recently, I have changed my gym routine, for the last couple of weeks I have been solely been doing weights. Honestly, because my hair was straight and I refused to perspire with the hopes of making my blow out last longer, but I will save that for another post. Last week I started to incorporate cardio back into my routine (my favorite).
