In the past, I would have defined my style as preppy. Over the years, I’ve moved away from the preppy ascetic and would consider myself to have more of a classic style. I’ve truly embraced this style simply because I like to have pieces of clothes that will stand the test of time.
One of my favorite style icons is Jackie O… I love her chic yet classic style. When I styled this look, it reminded me of my summers spent sailing. Too bad, I’ve only been sailing in my head, but the look is still super cute.
A shirt dress, one of the most comfortable items in my closet. I have a few in my closet in different styles. They come in handy on so many occasions. I mostly find myself wearing them to work on a Friday.
I have this rule I follow regarding dress down Fridays. Do it with class. I like to wear more casual looks on Friday, but you will never see me wearing jeans. On those days when I just need something to work. I denim shirt dress will always do the trick.
I think this may be my favorite addition to my spring wardrobe this year (so far). I tend to have a hard time finding spring or summer dresses that are long enough. I love this dress because it covers my arms. Dresses on the shorter side with long sleeves adds balance to a dress. I also love the idea that this dress is casual simply because I love wearing sneakers with dresses. Comfort is always key 🙂

I love mixing prints, and I have been so in love with army fatigue lately. It just goes with everything. Can I tell you, I’ve had this jacket since college. It has never disappointed me. Year after year, I always find myself reaching for it. It is just perfect because it adds a splash of fun to just about any outfit.
This year, I added this tee to my spring staples, and I have been wearing it so much. I am actually wearing it now 🙂 Nonetheless, it is a perfect tee that can be worn in so many ways. I wear it to work with a blazer and on the weekends with army fatigue jackets- lol. If you are looking for a great tee that goes with pretty much everything, you have to just try it on. I promise you will love it.
I have to say, I love to wear clothes that give comfort. On busy days, I just have to get myself out the door, but I always like to do my best to look as put together as I can.
There are times when I need to take a break from all the effort it takes to get dressed. I don’t know about you, but when I get dressed it’s usually an entire production. Some days I just don’t have time for that. When I’m short on time, I love to just grab something that looks okay and go about my day. For me, a nice hoodie or fleece does the trick.
Even though certain days I opt for a more casual look, it is still important to look put together. It’s a necessity that the items in your closet are great pieces that make you feel good. When you feel good, it does something with your confidence. When you exude confidence you can conquer the world.
I talk a lot about being comfortable. I can’t express enough how important it is to me be comfortable on my casual days. I can’t imagine myself having a relaxing day wearing something like tight jeans. Torture!
I find myself constantly on the hunt for cute yet casual clothes. Enter the faux leather leggings. They have been a staple for me on the weekends since I have purchased them. Granted I am just wearing leggings, the different texture makes the look more put together which is my goal. I actually wore these pants a few post back, see them here.
Hi Friends! This week I will be traveling to warmer weather, and I am so excited about it. It has been a while since I have been on a vacation. I love to travel and I put a lot of thought into my outfit when I am getting on a plane. Usually, it’s an extremely long day, and flights are always cold. I love wearing a flannel shirt, over a t-shirt and top it off with a sweater or comfortable jacket. All these items can be found at Old Navy 🙂
