Today I am sharing with you all, our wedding video. I went back and fourth for about a week trying to decided if I was going to post it. I thought it was silly not to after a while. We spent countless Wedding Wednesdays together planning my wedding. I shared so many details with you all, so why not the finishing touch?

Here is it, I hope you all enjoy it. 🙂

Spring is Springing

My favorite time of the year is the summer time! Needless to say I am so excited that we, dare I say, lost an hour. This weekend I felt this overwhelming feeling of joy knowing that the days have gotten longer. On the flip side of my joy and happiness, I am so tired. Loosing this hour ruins my sleep pattern. Sometime I want to go to bed early and other nights I can’t fall asleep into the early mornings. I am so frustrated because I am so sleepy (tonight is an early night). Last night I was up late, searching the web for cute summer dresses, because in a perfect world it would be 80 degrees next week! One can dream!

Another thing that happens to me when spring is around the corner I just want to clean. When I say clean, I want to clean everything. Lately, I have been reading one of my favorite organizing blogs, “I Heart Organizing” and have been getter really practical tips on ways to organize and make my home more efficient. As well as wanting to make some home repairs. When I get into these moods it becomes and obsession. I start making list, color coding my planning to give me the feeling that I am organizing something.

Does anyone else’s mood changes when the days start to get longer?

Wedding Wednesday: Making closet room for hubby…

Hello Friends…

So, I have a problem. I don’t have enough closet space in my home for all of my clothes as my future husband’s clothes. Frank has a regular amount of clothes nothing outrageous, but me on the other hand probably have more than I should. I like to justify that by saying I am in the business of fashion. Currently, the closets that are in my master bedroom is where I house my clothes. They are not the most functional in there current state. I am trying to scale back on my closet, but if we are being honest with each other,  that will not help.

The Problem:

When I moved into this house, there were not racks in any of the closets. I told my contractor that I wanted two racks in this closet, so he but the top rack up extremely high and didn’t put in a bottom rack, stating I didn’t provide enough money to have two racks. I could have given it to him, if he told me. I was in such a hurry to move in (it was my first house, I was excited), I decided to deal with it. So I have dealt with it, but that will be the first fix before Frank moves in.

The other master closet is fine the way it is, perfect for hanging clothes. Notice there is no place for my shoes, jewelry, or accessories. So those items are housed in my guest bedroom closet. I live by the motto out of sight out of mind and there are so many great items I am constantly forgetting to wear.

The Solution:

I have decided to move all of my clothes into the two closets that are in the guest room. They are both full sized closets and if I make one of the closets a double hang I will be able to put even more clothes in one the closets. I think there will be enough room to have my shoes at the top or bottom of both closets. I will need to purchase an chest to keep my purses in, and a jewelry chest. I am also thinking about adding some glam by getting a vanity. I could even film in there for my Youtube Videos.

This is what I am going for, a girl can dream right!

I will keep you all posted on the progress

Blogmas Day 23: Packing

I am a huge fan of packing. Maybe because I am an organization nut! It is just so much fun!!!! According to this picture it doesn’t look that much fun. I promise, there is a method to my madness.

I like to lay out all my outfits then decide what I am going to wear or if I have to many outfits that I am bringing with me. In this pack fest I did have to leave somethings behind. Packing to go visit my parents is not that hard because when I go (especially for Christmas) I literally just hang out the entire time.

Here is my packing checklist

  • shirt for every day
  • camisoles
  • leggings
  • workout clothes
  • sneakers
  • sweaters
  • jewelry
  • underwear
  • socks
  • towel & washcloth

If any of you are traveling for the holidays let me know how you pack for your travels, I would love to know!

Blogmas Day 18: Updated Decor

A few post back I showed you all my Christmas Decorations. In that post I promised I would show you my living room when I finished it, I was lacking red. I updated my dining room with items I found at Target. I got the placemats, napkins, and napkin rings all under $30. IMG_2922

Maybe some of you are thinking, why add to the room a week before Christmas? Well here is the answer… I can always use it next year. Actually, last year I couldn’t find anything I was looking for. When I see Christmas or holiday decorations in the store (especially at a good price) I try to get it then and there. Otherwise, when I come back later it will be gone, and never to be seen again.

I hope you all enjoyed this post… until the next holiday.

Blogmas: Day 17 Wedding Colors

So I don’t think I have ever shared my wedding colors with you all. How can you be along for the ride if you don’t know the details? So here we go. Below are a few pictures that will depict what colors we are using for our wedding.

Overall my colors are Mint and gold with a splash of lavender. Lavender is actually my favorite color but for this day I will be using it as an accent. Picking the colors was one of the hardest things. I have a problem with commitment (odd considering this is a wedding post, #dontjudge) it is hard to make a decision and have to stick with is for planning purposes. As soon as things start to come to play I will be able to show real pictures of things I am purchasing, honestly I don’t know what needs to be purchased yet. I will soon and the planning will begin.

Blogmas Day 15: No shopping

It’s that time of year when we have to remember it is better to give than it is to receive. With that being said, every year around December, I stop buying things for myself and focus on what I can do for other people. I wanted to share this with everyone out there reading this, and challenge you to do the same thing. Think about all the sales that are going on right now, FYI there are some really good ones too, and buy something for someone else. If you do end up buying something from that amazing sale, maybe you can find a way to do something nice for someone.

Think about a time when someone did something really nice to you, and how good it felt. xx

Blogmas Day 4: Real or Faux Tree

Growing up my family always had a real tree. I don’t think I knew families had fake trees. When I was introduced to a fake tree I was in love and never wanted a real tree again. Of Course there are pros and cons to having a real or a fake tree, but I wanted to hare mine with you.

Real Tree:

Having a real tree you get to have to amazing scent running through you home. In my opinion that is the only good thing about having a real tree. Well also because you have to through it away after you spent how ever much money on it, you don’t have to find a place to store your tree the rest of the year.

Faux Tree:

Faux Trees are a little more low maintenance. You don’t have to clean up behind the needles, or water the base. Also, you only need to buy a tree once. Until all the needles fall off and your left with sticks, but that won’t happen for a while.

I am sure you can tell what type of tree will be in my home this year… but I would love to know what kind of tree you plan on having in your home. I actually need to go put mine together now 🙂
