Hi Friends!

Does this shirt look familiar to you? If not, check out this link so we are all on the same page.

I love mixing prints, and I have been so in love with army fatigue lately. It just goes with everything. Can I tell you, I’ve had this jacket since college. It has never disappointed me. Year after year, I always find myself reaching for it. It is just perfect because it adds a splash of fun to just about any outfit.

This year, I added this tee to my spring staples, and I have been wearing it so much. I am actually wearing it now 🙂 Nonetheless, it is a perfect tee that can be worn in so many ways. I wear it to work with a blazer and on the weekends with army fatigue jackets- lol. If you are looking for a great tee that goes with pretty much everything, you have to just try it on. I promise you will love it.

Breaking Fashion Rules

Today I am throwing fashion rules out the window! Some fashion rules are old, outdated and, doesn’t make sense, but for some reason I am compelled to follow them. We all know the saying don’t wear white after Labor Day, we shouldn’t mix prints, and be sure to take one accessory off before you leave the house. Today, I am saying so what to the rules.

Recently, I heard about a challenge call Try-day Friday, created by Dia&Co., where Friday’s they wear something to the office they typically wouldn’t wear. The idea is to face your fashion fears. I love this concept because we can all use a little push every now and then.

If I am honest, ignoring the rules did make me uncomfortable, when I wore these jeans, I kept thinking everyone is looking at me because I am wearing white after Labor Day? Once I realize I’m doubting my outfit choice, I tell myself, “it is what it is,” and I hold my head high and let it go. I must have liked the outfit at some point and fashion is not that deep to care about what other people think about my outfit.

I wanted to wear these pants (in the fall) because I found them at the end of the season and I just loved them. Apparently, they are mom jeans, who would have thunk mom jeans are in style lol. They are really comfortable, because they have the perfect amount of room and they are high waisted, which are my favorite.

Hi Friends,

Happy Tuesday! This weekend was the first weekend since November where I didn’t have anything to do. It was AMAZING! I got my nails done and just hung out, made me feel like I was in my early 20s again. I miss those day, nothing planned and nothing to do.

On to the outfit. Originally, I was going to post this to Instagram, but the pictures came out decent enough to post plus this was a fun outfit. Do you remember that fashion rule… stripes and plaid look really  bad.
