Spring Jackets

One of my favorite things about spring fashion is the jackets. I have always loved jackets, in my opinion, they just complete any outfit. They are also perfect when you have chilly moments throughout the day. Here in the DC area, I think we have finally entered into the spring season. Que, all the cute jackets.

If you are looking for the perfect jacket for spring think about the type of spring weather that will take place in your area. It rains a lot here in the spring, and some days it’s cold, some days hot. So I like to find jackets that can either be layered over a sweater on those cold days or can be worn over a simple shirt. I also like to wear a lightweight faux leather jacket as well. Whatever your style, any jacket would work as long as you’re warm.

Also, think about the color of your jacket. You want your jacket to go with a lot of your outfits. For me, I picked olive, in the warmer months I wear a lot of navy blue. Olive will also look great with white, black, and even yellow, some of my favorite colors to wear in the spring or summer.

Transitional Spring Look

Welcome to March… turns out last night the Washington DC area had a snow storm (what fun!). Typically, this time of year we are wearing transition clothing for those chilly spring days. I am one of those people who needs a jacket when it is 75 degrees. With that said, I have to wear lots of layers in order to keep warm on those spring days.

This outfit is something I would wear on the weekends, notice the sneakers. I love this hoodie because it is just warm enough, but perfect when I wear a few layers underneath. In the spring I wear a lot of vests to also help keep me warm. Sorry for wearing these sneakers so often, but I am truly showing you all what I wear on a typically day. I always want to keep things honest and authentic with you all.
