Restyled a Comfy Sweater

Greetings! I have been under the weather for about a week now. I am so over it!!! I can admit I am dramatic when I am sick. I feel like I am not going to make it. Thankfully, I am on the other side of this cold and I sure it is not fatal, so life will be back to normal soon. If you remember a few months ago I wore this sweater in this post. This sweater is so warm and cozy. I love to wear it around the house, to work and on the weekends. I find blue to be a neutral color in my wardrobe, so this sweater goes with everything. I lucked up and found it at Burlington’s which means it was affordable! I have had these shoes for a few years now, here is a very similar pair. If you notice, I like to buy quality clothes that last though the seasons. I don’t tend to gravitate to trendy pieces, because I like to have my clothes for a few years. If you are looking for something similar I will try to link something close. Oh and these are my favorite Jeans again 🙂

Keeping Warm

Goodness Guys, it has been so cold lately! I think the weather is going to be in the 60s for one day… then right back to the 30s. Needless to say I have been living in my puffer coats lately. I actually got this one for Christmas. I love the color and the length. Clearly, on this particular day it was cold and windy which is why my hair is all over the place.

I just bought these boots in a flash sale on Hautelook/Nordstrom Rack. I have been on the hunt for a pair of navy blue over the knee boots, I found a pair at DSW but they made my thighs look huge (I am dramatic but it was not flattering). I was nervous to buy these expecting the same result. To my surprise they worked. A trick I have learned over the years, if you art attempting to slim your leg line keep to a monochromatic color scheme on your bottom half. Being that I have on dark jeans and dark boots it worked. A plus for these shoes is how comfortable and they keep you warm!

Loving Flannel

Hi Friends, as you can see it snowed. Can you tell I am not very enthusiastic about it. I am not a fan of the snow or the cold weather. Naturally, I am always freezing and when it is cold my body does not agree. Today was about 20 degrees and I thought I would have to wear a large coat on my way to this shoot, but surprisingly I was okay to walk to the car and get the shots. I have loved flannel for a long time now, but wearing it under a thick sweater was new for me. I needed the warmth so I went with it.. and I was comfortable. I will be stocking up on more of these little gems to keep me warm the rest of this winter.

Hi there, how are you? I surely enough I am at my parent’s house doing nothing, and living an amazing life 🙂

So I love this outfit, one of my favorites from this week. Honestly, I am loving styling all these outfit to share with you all. This outfit would look so cute with a pair of over the knee boots as well. I actually just ordered a pair from Nordstrom and now I wish I would have waited for them to arrive to wear with this outfit. Are you all excited for Christmas Eve tomorrow? Do you all have any Christmas Eve Traditions? I would love to hear what they are!

Happy Thursday, I can believe that it is almost Christmas, I am so excited to be able to just relax. Getting ready to travel to our parent’s houses, rounding up gifts, and working all this week has been exhausting. I am so looking forward to this break!

On to the outfit. I enjoyed wearing this outfit, it is so comfortable. This skirt was like wearing sweatpants (my favorite). I think I have mentioned before how much I love these shoes before, I wear them all the time.

Happy Tuesday! I think this week is going to be dedicated to parties to the holidays coming up THIS WEEK! Can you tell I am excited? Well I am 🙂 I love this skirt, I found it at TJ Maxx (a friend actually bought it for me) and I couldn’t wait to style it. This outfit would be great if you are going out to an evening party. I have learned the hard way that I need to wear a coat when I am going out in the evening. Once upon a time I was that girl running to a party trying to be cute and not wearing a coat to only wake up in the morning with my body aching from the cold. I have grown past that and decided to leave that in my 20s.

Casual Party Ideas

With Christmas and New Years so close, I figured I would give you all some inspiration on what you could wear if you are going to a casual party for the Holidays. In my normal life (lol) I typically don’t get dressed up often for parties. This outfit is something I would wear to a friends house for a festive get together. Really all you need is something fun, I like to wear sequins around this time of year because it embodies the holiday season and I just love it 🙂

Have you all planned what you are going to do to bring in the new year? Tell me about it, I would love to hear.

Boots and a Blazer

So let’s talk about this weather… it is so cold here! During this entire shoot I had to take some moments and warm up in my car.  Many of you know I work a 9-5, most day I am in outfits like these. Typically for work, I like to wear an easy dress and a blazer. I try to be as comfortable as possible, because I am running around all day and I get up too early to care about much.
