An Alternative to Sweats

Do you ever have those days when you just don’t really feel like doing much? I think I have them way to often. I just want to put clothes on my body and get the day going. Lately, I have been making an effort to avoid wearing sweats on those days, and going for a more put together option. Which is where the inspiration for this look came from. Here I am wearing a comfortable shirt and a pair of black pants (which feel like you are wearing leggings). It’s simple yet comfortable, perfect if you are running out of the door and don’t have that much time to get your life together (this happens to me way more than I would like to admit lol). When it does happen there is no need to run around looking like a hot mess. I know it is hard but, I am honestly say it takes the same amount of energy to wear this outfit as it does to wear sweats.

Hi Friends!

I am sorry I have been MIA this week. It has been such a busy week.

This outfit is perfect for those chilly days. Can you tell I don’t like to be cold? One thing I love to do is layer with light jackets in the spring. Typically,  I would start wearing this complete outfit then as the sun starts to warm the day, I remove the (faux) leather jacket and just wear the hoodie. If it is really hot outside, I would remove both jackets and just wear this super cute tee. I love army print. I think it is the olive green that gets me, it is one of my favorite colors to wear. Do I need to talk about these jeans again? lol Are you sick of them yet? Sorry not sorry, they are still my favorite.

Let’s talk about my hair, this is one of my go to styles when I don’t have much time, but need to do something with my hair. It is so simple! Do you all want to see more of my go to hair styles? Let me know and I can share them with you.

Bye Bye Boots

So, I haven’t told you all happy spring! With spring comes open toe shoes, summer dresses, and light jackets. The down size of spring, is we have to put our boots away for a few months. I love boots, but honestly I think I love spring more.

Now that we have said goodbye to our boots, let talk about this outfit. I bought this top to wear to a concert, but ended up wearing something else. I love a simple shirt like this because you can literally wear it so many ways. Tucked in, with leggings, or dress it up for work. I love adding a scarf in the spring because if you get a little chilly you always have something to wrap up in.

Hi Friends,

In the spring and summer my family visits the Baltimore Flea Market and Bazaar (mostly for the food) but we always have great time. One particular time we found a stand that sold these dashikis. All the women in my family purchased one. I had mine stored in my closet for quite sometime. After I purchased these boots, I thought they would go really well together. It was actually a very comfortable outfit. The boots added that touch of something special 🙂

Happy Friday Friends!

This week has been a crazy busy week. I am sure you all noticed I had a difficult time posting this week. Just know, I am here today with an outfit that would be perfect if you work in an office setting.

In the winter I wear a lot of dresses and skirts, which means I live in tights and stockings. It is always fun to wear colored tights for style and to keep you warm. In my opinion it just add a element of fun to an outfit.

I found this jacket a few years back at Target but you can find the current season here. The plaid shirt is from the Gap (similar here) and my skirt is thrifted, but is  J Crew . I usually get my tights from Target which has an amazing selection of colors and prints.

Gray Hoodie

Hi There…

I don’t mean to talk about the weather as often as I do, but I have to say, the weather has been so nice lately. Honestly, I can skip winter every year. How is the weather where you are? img_9407_fotorimg_9373_fotorimg_9402_fotorimg_9327_fotorimg_9398_fotorimg_9341_fotorimg_9394_fotor

I have been wanting this hoodie for a while to wear with one of my leather jackets (outfit coming soon). I decided to keep my look simple today, because sometimes that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. There are a lot of times where I just throw on a hoodie and that’s my outfit. I tend to have more of a casual style, I love to dress up just like anyone else but when you just want to hang out and relax… all you need is a good hoodie. I was on the hunt for the perfect hood and decided to go with the H&M basic hoodie. I don’t shop at H&M to often but I love their basics. Have  you all noticed there clothes are a little more true to size, if not big. Once upon a time I couldn’t figure out what my size wore in there for the life of me.
